Fishing stages represent the life of Newfoundland. The fishing stage is where the catch was brought in, processed and where the nets and tackle were stored. Realizing that stages were a great tourist draw, the government began to pay to have owners restore them instead of tearing them down. These were captured by Canadian photographer Rick Schmidt and produced by Gifts From The Heart exclusively for Home Hardware.
