The Boreal Beauty Haskap was developed by the University of Saskatchewan and produces fat, firm, deep blue berries. These berries taste like a cross between a blueberry and a raspberry. Boreal Beauty extends Haskap season by ripening anywhere from two weeks to one month later than most Haskap varieties. It has strong and upright branches, making this variety a great option for mechanical harvesting. This variety requires a compatible pollinator to produce fruit and pairs best with Boreal Beast.
