Product Overview

Oatey® Purple Primer/Cleaner is a dual purpose primer and cleaner for use on all schedules and classes of CPVC and PVC pipe and fittings. Less aggressive than clear and purple primer only product. Oatey® PVC Rain-R-Shine Medium Bodied Fast Set Grey Cement is recommended for pool and spa, irrigation, potable water, pressure pipe, conduit and DWV applications. Formulated for quick pressurization and wet condition applications.

Recommended for pool and spa, irrigation, potable water, pressure pipe, conduit, and DWV applications
For use on all schedules and classes of PVC pipe and fittings up to 6" diameter with interference fit
Recommended application temperature of 40°F to 110°F (4°C to 43°C)
Purple primer formulated for use on all schedules and classes of PVC and CPVC pipe and fittings
Purple primer is used in areas where plumbing codecalls for verification that a primer has been used; it ensure that piping has been primed prior to solvent cement application
Blue cement for wet condition is very fast setting and formulated for quick pressurization and quick installation
