Sous Vide Kale

Serve as a side


Kale seems to be the trendy super food right now.  It has become more popular to find at local grocery stores.  Cooking Kale often ends in a goopy unappetizing mess.  By using the Sous Vide method the Kale remains bright and flavorful.  This simple recipe allows you to cook your main dish while the side does not need any attention.


Ingredients

Kale
Olive oil
Salt
Balsamic vinegar


Directions
  1. Preheat the water bath to 185°F.
  2. Using a knife, remove the toughest part of the stem from the kale and place in a mixing bowl.
  3. Lightly toss the kale with olive oil and salt.
  4. Place the kale in a bag and vacuum seal it or use the water displacement method.
  5. Cook for 7 to 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from bag and place the kale on a serving dish.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar as desired and serve.​
